2. Safety procedures during diving (Socorro)
I would like to highlight the excellent onboard safety concept. In particular, the fire-safety and cabin evacuation equipment was outstanding and something I have rarely seen implemented so thoroughly.
Underwater safety and group control, however, left me less comfortable on two occasions.
During the check dive, our group entered the water with six divers plus a guide, but only five divers actually joined the group underwater, without this being noticed or addressed by the guide. The missing diver surfaced independently and returned to the boat safely, but the situation itself was unsettling—especially during a check dive, where group control should be at its strictest.
A similar situation occurred again on the final dive of the trip. While no incident occurred in either case, this pattern did not inspire confidence and may be worth reviewing internally.
3. Billing inconsistencies
According to the price list, Nitrox was USD 20 per diving day. With five diving days, this would amount to USD 100, whereas USD 120 was charged.
Similarly, the Starlink internet package was advertised at USD 85 on the website used for booking, but USD 100 was charged onboard.
These are minor amounts in the context of the overall trip, but clarity and consistency in pricing are always appreciated.
